What It Is
Deficiencies rarely appear out of nowhere. In most cases the condition, the missing entry or the expired record was already there long before the pilot boarded. The value of a pre-arrival review is simply that somebody looks first. Nautilux reviews every document and every image you upload for the vessel, in full, against the deficiency areas commonly recorded in the region and port you are heading for. It then returns a prioritised close-out list written for two readers: the crew, who need to know what to do before arrival, and the office, who need to know what cannot be closed in time and why.
Be clear about what this is and is not. It is preparation. It is not a prediction of what a Port State Control Officer will do, and no advance review can determine the outcome of an inspection. What it does is remove the findings you could have closed yourself, and tell you in advance where you are exposed so the master is not answering a question for the first time at the gangway. Turnaround is the point. Upload typically takes one to two hours through the secure portal, and for a complete submission received early in the working day we aim to return the reviewed result the same working day.

Full review, not a sample
Conventional attendance-based inspection works by sampling. A limited number of items is selected, those items are examined, and a view is formed from them. Whatever was not sampled is not seen. That is a practical necessity when one person has a few hours on board, and it is the reason findings hide in the material nobody opened. Nautilux inverts that for the paperwork and the imagery. Every document and every image you upload is reviewed, in full, with nothing set aside as a sample. The limit is worth stating in the same breath. Coverage is 100% of what you upload, not 100% of the vessel.
Nautilux does not go on board, does not open a tank and does not replace physical attendance. Where the record you provide is thin, the review will say so. Our reports are prepared for the party that instructs us and for the purpose stated in the engagement. Reliance by any other party requires our written agreement.
